Apostle Ezekiel Daniel has spoken out over the alleged detention of Ekomieyefa Uduboh, also known as KFT, by Tompolo, saying that the situation has brought attention to what he describes as alleged human rights violations in Oporoza.

“Let me say a big thank you to you all for your criticism, support and solidarity.

“One thing that has become clear to all of us in Nigeria is that I have become a catalyst, and God bless you all, for bringing what I describe as the hidden madness of Tompolo to national attention.

“For those who do not know what a catalyst is, some of us will have to go back to chemistry class for the second lesson. A catalyst is a substance that speeds up the rate of a chemical reaction.

“In the last two months, this is what has happened by turning the attention of Nigerians and the authorities to what I describe as human rights violations being committed by Tompolo, Tantita and their associates.

“You people keep asking me why I am only coming out to speak now. You all know my relationship with Tompolo over the years. We have passed through a lot together—the good, the bad and the ugly. So none of you could simply expect me to come out immediately.

“I used all kinds of internal means to try to put a stop to what I consider barbaric actions. What I am speaking against is totally against the principles of Amnesty International, which operates in more than 150 countries. They are totally against such actions.

“I will use two examples to make my point clear.

“I tried to make this barbaric man, Tompolo, reason like a human being. But I will leave that matter there.

“To Ekomieyefa Uduboh, also known as KFT, how do you feel now? You have been assisting Tompolo in kidnapping and locking up our youths in Oporoza. But now, according to the claims surrounding your situation, Tompolo has allegedly locked you up for almost one week.

“If you want to call it house arrest, or give it any other name, locked up is locked up.

“Now that you have allegedly been locked up and humiliated, how does it feel?

“Since I have exposed it, he will release you and deny the claim that he locked you up. But that is your business.

“When Ekomieyefa Uduboh brought some boys to Oporoza to be locked up, he directed some of Tompolo’s boys to remove their clothes.

“When their clothes were removed, fuel was poured on their bodies and pepper was put on them before they were flogged.

“But my question remains: when the same treatment comes back to you, how does it feel?

“This is why I am speaking out. I have tried to use internal means to address these issues, but I believe the time has come for Nigerians to pay attention to what is happening.”
